The mobile market is awash with Android devices sold at different price levels. It is quite exciting to see how devices with lower price points progress steadily in terms of features and specs offered. The ZTE Blade C is one such device and with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), the phone is aimed for budget-conscious consumers. While we shouldn’t expect high-end capabilities for a device sold at $110 off-contract, the phone should run quite smoothly for common uses. The ZTE Blade C comes with a 1GHz MediaTek MTK 6577 dual-core processor and 4” WVGA display.
Other spec include a microSD card slot to complement the 4GB of onboard storage. Users will also get 512MB of RAM, 3Mp rear-facing camera. 1600mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3G connectivity. At 110 grams and 11mm thick, the Blade C isn’t the lightest nor the sleekest smartphone in the market, but it should still be appealing to many users with its low price tag, relatively new Android OS version and dual-core processor. Unfortunately, there’s no word whether the Blade C will be distributed outside China.
